Grand Canyon National Park

 

 

The Grand Canyon is truly an amazing National Park.  Years ago, I had the chance to "stop by" The Grand Canyon, have my picture taken and drive on down the highway.  This time, however, I took the time to stop and smell the flowers.  Certainly there aren't that many flowers in or around the Grand Canyon, but they now have overlooks built to allow visitors to see the sheer majestic nature of this Park.

Snaking its way through the Grand Canyon is the Colorado River.  Even with my Nikon 8700 (not a DSLR), I got a great shot of the Colorado River from one of the many overlooks along the Canyon.
